History

CPG Engineering and Design Limited was formed in 2006 by Chris Green to operate as a freelance CAD draughtsman. In 1998 Chris graduated from the Nottingham Trent University with a B.Eng. (Honours) degree in Manufacturing Engineering. He continued his studies by attending the Peoples College in Nottingham gaining City and Guilds and BTEC qualifications in Computer Aided Design. These covered 2D, 3D wire-frame, solid and surface modelling using AutoCAD as well as animation using 3D Studio Max.

In 2000 Chris taught 2D AutoCAD to degree students studying surveying at the Nottingham Trent University department of surveying. Following this he worked for a number of architectural practices and civil/structural consulting engineers on a contract basis. He produced 2D architectural CAD drawings from surveys of retail outlets, new build residential developments, student accommodation buildings and quarries as well as building services (electrical and mechanical). He worked on local authority projects producing drawings and layouts for road schemes using AutoCAD, AutoSign, and AutoTrack. Chris managed small projects such as the Anti Skid Surfacing Contract on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, producing traffic management drawings, liaising with client and contractor, booking road space, conducting site inspections and approved payments.

Should you require a freelance CAD draughtsman resource, we would be happy to discuss your requirements with no obligation.
